The Museum is in valley which in turn is in the county of Durham.
There is little I can say against the place. The exhibits are quite realistic, the staff friendly and there is more to see and do than one day allows for.

This little site is made up of pictures taken on a one day visit there on the 12th May 2010 and can only be a snapshot of what was there and working on that day.
Hence there are bits missing, Pockerley Hall and Old Farm being the most noticeable. The one very sad thing, which I believe is not under the control of Beamish but rather the 'coffee bar mentality' clever little local government officers of the Regional Museums set up, is that many large exhibits charting vital parts of the area's technical evolution have been locked away in a Regional Museums store.
